How to hyperlink a field value?
I am using SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services. On my report, I want to hyperlink a field value, which when clicked, should open another report with parameters passed as Query String. I want to know: How to add hyperlink to a field value? How to call another report when user clicks on this link?

Hi, Right click on that text box -> actions -> Go to URL or Jump to URL Give the report URL with the parameter values. You can use this property to navigate from one report to other. Regards, Bharadwaj.

Ok it works, but I have few more issues: I want to pick the clicked field's value in the URL. I tried adding: Fields!DistrictName, but it didn't work. It is not clicking the text on which I clicked.I want to pass a parameter value in the URL. Again, I tried: Parameters!FinancialYear, but it didn't work. How to pass a parameter value in the URL?

Hi, In your scenario, a drillthroug should suit you perfectly, and meet your requirement. A report can contain links to other reports. The report that opens when you click the link in the main report is known as a drillthrough report. Drillthrough reports must be published to the same report server as the main report, but they can be in different folders. You can add a drillthrough link to any item that has an Action property, such as a text box, an image, or data points on a chart. A drillthrough report commonly contains details about an item that is contained in the original summary report, and often contains parameters that filter the drillthrough report based on parameters passed to it from the main report. For more information about Add a Drillthrough Action on a Report, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd207031.aspx Regards, Charlie Liao
