Hi,
Firstly, please let us know which rule or monitor and management pack is related to this alert.
If you are using IIS 7 MP, please double check the configurations referring to the MP guide:
Windows Server Internet Information Services 7 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager 2007
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9815
Meanwhile, please check the Event Log on the problematic server and the management server if there are any other related errors, please let us know the details.
Hope this helps.
Thanks. Nicholas Li

Here is the info
Workflow name: Microsoft.Windows.InternetInformationServices.2008.Discover32To40WebSites
Instance name: IIS Web Server
Instance ID: {D1317F3F-7537-336E-7332-838AA6A46908} .
Under SCOM in event id its generating error 33037 from where it is collecting the event and sending as an alert. The managemtn pack is IIS 7
Let me know if any other info required , not very proficient in SCOM :-)

I have resolved this myself. One of the component of the website was pointing to an app pool which did not exist. Changed the app pool to the correct one and that resolved the issue and SCOM alerts stopped coming
Thanks
