Issue with boot image
All,
Beginning of this week I have updated the boot image with new NIC drivers for the coming new Lenovo models in our company.
Sadly after I added the drivers, and choose to update the boot image and DP's, it all went to hell.
The boot image was present on 10 servers in EMEA and China, and only accepted the boot image. In the console I can see that 1 server has version 5 of the boot image installed, all other servers have version 4, targetted 2 and installed 0. I have removed
the other DP's, refreshed DP's, but Sccm does not want to trasmit the package to the ohter servers. Other packages to those servers work fine.
I am looking at the status message viewer, distmgr.log and despoolr.log and I can't find any error at all related to this package, or any other package for that matter.
This is urgent for our company since we now have not been able to image computers for the entire week and we have run out of things to try.
Also, is there perhaps a better way to integrate new drivers in a boot image instead of using the Sccm console?

Have you tried to just "update distribution point" so a new boot image is created and distributed ( that does not happen with refresh)Michael Petersen http://blog.coretech.dk/mip/

Tried that, and the result is even worse. not a single server is receiving the package. I am also monitoring the network traffic and see no traffic being generated to or from.
Other packages are being processed without issues.

If you recive no error during the build process, I would remove the boot image from all DP's, and redistribute once its gone...Michael Petersen http://blog.coretech.dk/mip/

I have lots of trouble with Boot images, I have to sometimes create a new one and redistribute to all dps especially when adding lots of new drivers. Ensure the drivers are all Win 7 compatible if you are adding NIC and mass storage drives. SCCM seems
to be very picky about what drivers it likes adding to Boot Images.

Don't you also have to change all TS you have with the new package?
And would it be an option to use ImageX to integrate new drivers in boot images?

To my knowledge, you only need on NIC and that's the e1k6232 unless your runing servers or none Intel/broadcom hardware!!Michael Petersen http://blog.coretech.dk/mip/

is the 'e1K6232' some sort of universal driver?
We have lenovo and dell computers in our company, and I needed to update boot image to work with the Intel 82579LM nic.
