Hi, I think I have found a bug, or I have done something wrong with groups. I have created a group for servers in our enterprise that certain employees are interested in, in this case two servers, one server has a database server and are interested in individual database state. The second server, they are interested in IIS website App Pool availability. To test I have created a state in the same management pack as the group, I have set Show Data Related to: SQL Database. And set the group to the new group with the two servers in it. I then create a second state view, select IIS 7 App Pool data and again the group. Everything works fine as expected. I have now come to replicate this in the new dashboard so I can get everything on one screen. I have replicated the settings from the state view, but doesn't show anything. Set the group and select the same object, in this case IIS 7 App Pool. Same for SQL Database. If I remove the group from the list in the dashboard state settings and only leave the object, it displays the app pool throughout my infrastructure, which isn't what I need. This is very frustrating, is it a bug or is it something I have missed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. KevinKevHal

In scom 2012, dashboard view is different to scom 207 R2 dashboard view. In scom 2012, dashboard view is different to scom 207 R2 dashboard view. Hi, Thank for your answers, what you have suggested does work, however this would mean for each state widget I would also need to create a corresponding group for it to display correctly, we could be talking around creating for the beginning 50 groups for companies to have a dashboard and view services. Also on some documentation creating lots of groups isn't a good idea. What I don't understand, under a normal state view (not the dashboard) it works fine without creating groups. I don't understand why this is different. is creating lots of groups best practice for creating views in the Dashboard? KevKevHal
