Hi

I have linked documents between different sites in Sharepoint. When I change the contain in the main documents and the Version is change from 1.0 to Version 2.0. Now the version for the linked document is still Version 1.0 in the document list. How can I manage that the linked document shows the same Version number as the main document when it is updated?  

How have you 'linked' these documents?

Are you referring to SharePoint versions (ie. Major versions) or a manual versioning process?

I copy the shortcut to the main document and add New document (link to a document) in a different folder than main documents.

It is the documents version number as you can see in the Version history. Hope that is answer to your question.
