Log changes in permissions of SharePoint security group
Is the any way I can log who is making changes in permissions of SharePoint security groups? For example let there be a group called SPGroup1 which has full control today. Tomorrow a site owner changes this to Read. I want to check who changed
it and when.
Thanks

There are some 3rd party tools that do this as well, I believe. If this is a very important requirement, it may be a good use of your dollars to buy one.--Paul Galvin, Computer Generated Solutions (CGS)

Thanks Oleg and Paul. I have reviewed SharePoint audit. That will be enough for the current needs.

Hi,
According to your description, you can change the permissions of level and control the groups’
permissions of time. There is a useful tool to facilitate management operation.
Dynamic Distribution List and Security Group Management: GroupID Automate
The link about information to it in details is:

I wish you every success in your important work.
