Hi nabeez,
In addition to the article you have read, I suggest you to go through the following two articles to know the boundaries and limits of SharePoint 2007
and SharePoint 2010, then choose a server depend on your needs:

For me, there are criteria that must be met:
1. Support Time
One important area that you should consider before choosing your SharePoint hosting provider is how effective the provider’s support team will be. It is important that the company that you choose is extremely knowledgeable and also responsive.
2. Uptime
The server must be always up
3. Speed
It would be great if you only takes 5-10 seconds to load your site
4. Security
Your SharePoint hosting provider should take care of all security concerns for you including software updates, private SSL encryption to keep information safe and hardware and software firewalls to protect you from any potential attacks.
5. License
Make sure that they are licensed properly with Microsoft. Licensing shows that they are a reputable, high quality company is doing business legitimately.
I can recommend 2 provider for you, FPWEB and ASPHOSTPORTAL. If you have high budget, you can go with FPWEB. But if your budget is limited, you can give try asphostportal.com.
Good luck

Please confirm that you have no commercial contacts (i.e. you neither work for them nor sell their services in any way nor do their development) with either of the hosting companies you suggested.
