MOSS 2007 AD question
I use MOSS 2007. The user profiles are set to import the phone number 'Work Phone' from AD. However, for just one user the phone number displayed is incorrect. I deleted the user profile from the SSP and did a full import again, still there is no change.

Apart from the SSP they get stored in userinfo table of the content database. There is a very good explenation here. http://blah.winsmarts.com/2007-7-SharePoint_2007__All_you_ever_wanted_to_know_about_User_Profiles.aspx I have personally fount deleting the user from the site and re adding solves the problem. may be there is a better way / tool there to do this. Hello, Have you verified that the phone number is AD is correct? I think that is the place you should first check. Comparing the different users profile would definately help. tks.Regards, Rohan

Hi, Have you set the “Work phone” to “Allow user to edit values for this property” in User profiles and properties form Shared Services Administration home page? I think it may that the user edits the values for the property in my site user profile page after running user profiles sync. Let me know the issue. Xue-Mei Chang

Ron, Each Site Collection have a copy of users data in User Information List which is updated by a SharePoint Timer Job. Check out ULS for any issue with this job which might prevent the propogation of the users' data to this list. You can run the jib using stsadm -o sync Find more reference here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263196(office.12).aspx Also at first point check to see if the user's phone is correctly imported from AD in SSP User Profile. If the number in SSP store itslef is wrong then its a different issue. Sameer Dhoot My Blog : http://sharemypoint.in/ Did I answer your question? If YES, Mark as Answer.
