MOSS 2007 OWA Calendar on IE8?
I added the OWA Calendar web part to my page and I am getting the following error:"Access to Calendar folders from Outlook Web Access Web Parts is supported only for Internet Explorer 6 and later".Does anyone know of a fix or workaround to this? We are using IE8, Exchange 2007 and MOSS 2007.Thanks

Hi Chochobeelai, Regarding your issue, please try to access your OWA at first. If you cannot access it, it should be an Exchange issue, as we are not familiar with Exchange. So, I suggest you raise a new thread there http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/category/exchangeserver/ . If you can, please try the following steps to have a try: 1. Open your browser, tools internet options Advanced go down to the section for HTTP 1.1 Settings, untick both items in there. 2. Restart your IE. About these steps, you can refer to http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?pg=2&p=1&tid=40c1ad5b-855d-49b5-bd82-40fadea4b5b5&dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.beta&cat=&lang=&cr=&sloc= . In addition, Since OutlookWebAccess was completely rewritten for Exchange2007. This provided an opportunity to add many new features, but not all the features from earlier versions of OutlookWebAccesswere incorporated into the new version. With Exchange2007SP1, those missing features have been returned and new features added. So, I suggest you to install Exchange2007SP1 to have a try. You can refer to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb684907.aspx . If these action plans are not useful for your issue, please provide the following information for further investigation. 1. Are there any other logs? 2. Could you provide your detail steps? Hope this helps and let me know the result if possible.

I'm sorry but this response is not correct, nor complete, and shouldn't be marked as an answer. I have about 25 customers out of a user base of 7000+ who are experiencing the exact same issue using the exchange web parts (MOSS2007, exchange 2007 w/all patches and updates). They can access OWA directly (using the same browser on a different tab) and see all of their information, however, get this message when using the OWA web parts. I've been working with MS support on this and haven't gotten very far. We've determined that it may be an active directory profile issue as the users I've been working with are able to go to another machine (that works fine for the owner), log on and still experience the issue. We are still looking, and I hope I can provide an update soon.

Chochobeelai - who was the starter of this thread - did NOT come back to it and say that the reply didn't solve *his* question. So marking it as an answer *in 2009* was justifiable even though I personally would have prefered it if the MS Moderator had waited for more than only three days before doing so. That said your comment in 2011 is with a different version of MOSS 2007 and Exchange compared to that that was in use in 2009 when this thread was started (and "answered") so your problems with the solution may just be because off that. I suggest that you start a new thread with your question. I am locking this thread as answered - because the original poster did not come back to the thread and can therefore reasonably can be assumed to be happy with the answer he got here.
