I'm trying to set up the Out of Band point ins 2012 SP1. I have set up certificates and the enrollment point but am just getting 'unsupported device' for the AMT status. My MP is set to use HTTP comms but the enrollment point is using HTTPS. 

Does the MP also need to be HTTPS, or does the enrollment point handle this meaning i am able to keep standard comms on the MP at HTTP?

No. Don't confuse OOB PKI requirements with HTTPS client communication PKI requirements -- they are two different things and two distinct sets of requirements even though each requires a PKI.
