Machine Policy Evaluation and Update Cycle
I am currently running SCCM 2007 and have a simple question.... What server log file details client action issues, specifically Machine Policy Evaluation and Update Cycle? ? Situation: I currently have a Win 7 pc that I have succesfully installed client onto, approved, lists the correct site ID but when I run the previously mentioned client action Trace 32 lists no progress......... Already attempted; GPUPDATE /ForceWMI repair using SCCM Client CenterClient install repair

Are you running the client action from the Configuration Manager control panel applet on the client? If so, if nothing happens on the client then nothing will happen on the server. Which client logs are you looking at where you see nothing? These should show activity or errors if there are porblems: ccmexec.log, PolicyAgent.log, PolicyAgentProvider.log, PolicyEvaluator.log. Note that gpupdate has nothing to do with ConfigMgr. Also not, I hope you actually "repaired" WMI and didn't just delete the repoistory -- there is a very big difference between the two.Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com
