Hi there,
The 6398, 6482 and 7076 are usually caused by a problem with the Timer service and an issue with IIS - I have found this to be useful at resolving the problem:

Have you also applied Office Servers 2007 SP1 to the installation?

I too am currently wrestling with 27745, 7888, 5586, and 6641 after:-conducting many updates-exporting and trying to import a site collection from one SP Web App to another-doing a Full Import of user accounts from AD.However, after googling the aforementioned errors together, I have concluded it best to tackle these one by one for now.

I could reduced the errors:Updated and upgraded to the latest.Read the errors in the SharePoint log, and ssp log. Reattached, and removed the databases through the Central Admin.Found the SSP properties was not set properly, it was going through all company AD users. Created a custom one to reduce the unnecessary load.

Cool Sarain your case I was going to say create custom LDAP script to connect to AD and crawl the OUwhere necessary. Could you be more specific for Ashish on what properties were set improperly or was it just doing a full crawl of AD that you changed?-IvanIvan Sanders

It was set on full crawl on all AD. The problem is recurring. how many times do I have to fix the same thing. It is back to show no sp installs, no hot fix, no upgrade.i have opened a new ticket on that.Sara
