Monitoring Wireless devices with SCOM 2007 R2
Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to monitor wireless workstations with SCOM 2007 R2? Thanks.

What do you want to monitor exactly ? Each that the machine will not be connected on the network, you will have failed to connect and hearthbeat failure alert.Christopher Keyaert - My OpsMgr / SCOM & Opalis blog : http://www.vnext.be

Thank you Christopher for replying. I would like to monitor if the device is no longer connected to the network. We have Wyse terminals on some of the floors here at the hospital and it seems that the terminals disconnect and connect again by themselves. It would be nice to be alerted by SCOM when the terminal is down, and perhaps in addition inform us of what actually happened that caused the terminal to loose it's connection. Thank you again, Louis

Download OpsLogix Ping Tool. Add all the terminals you want to monitor to DNS. Add those DNS targets to OpsLogix MP. I do this with 1000 Aruba Wireless controllers across the world.
