Move Crawl and Property Databases

I'm trying to move my Crawl and Property DBs to another SQL Instance and I'm having a really tough time getting it working.  I'm using this article, and the commands for Set-SPEnterpriseSearchCrawlDatabase aren't complete...

I'm seeing 'All Errors' on the Search Admin page.  When I tried to modify the topology and point the Crawl DB to my new server I got "The specified database is not empty".  The method for moving crawl and property DBs is very confusing.  Has anyone done this before?
