OSD Failure Advanced Format HDD
I'm having an issue. We got one of the new Laptops with the Advanced Formatted Hard Drives in it. I Made a WinPE 3.1 Boot Disc and booted up, it couldn't find a network adapter. I went and downloaded the latest Dell Win PE Driver CAB,
and injected those into the Boot Disc, and I was able to boot and start the task sequence. It grabs the Boot from System Center, and reboots. From here, It will partition the drive and hits the Apply Operating System part. Here it bombs out
with error 0x80070002. I have updated the drivers in the boot image. It works on my CD version, but when it pulls it from the server, I think it can't find the network driver.

0x80070002 is network related so you need nic drivers, are you sure you are using the right nic drivers (win7) in your boot.wim ? does your SMSTS.log file reveal anything further about your network problem ? what Dell model is it ?

I didn't update the other boot image the x86 one, thinking that it would pick up the 64-bit Boot Image. I'm updating the x86 one now. I boot off of the x64 CD I have, and select a 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 image, and it wants to download the x86
boot.wim?

you can deploy win7x64 with an x86 boot image no problem, and that's probably the boot image in your task sequence
