Hi All

I have accidentally deleted an email on outlook and then realized that it is an ost file. 

the email password has changed is there a way to convert the ost in a pst file since i am unable to re-add the mail since i do not know the password

Hi,

If your account is a Microsoft Exchange Server account, you can recover the deleted items via Recover Deleted Items.

1. Click Folder > Recover Deleted Items.
2. Click the message you want to recover, and then click Recover Selected Items.

If your account is not Microsoft Exchange Server account, you need to convert OST file to PST file using some third party application. You can refer to the following thread which may help you.

I used the "ost2.com" tool too. Costs about 60$ and does the simple job to convert the whole OST File into a PST file.. I' ve tried a lot of other tools out ther but the are much more expensive. There seems to be no really free Tool avaliable!

If you want to check the content of the OST file first in read only, you can use the program called "Kernel OST Viewer". This did the job for me.
