On Query/Processing timeout
I am using SSRS 2008 R2 in SharePoint 2010 integrated mode.
when I go into SP2010 Central Admin and SSRS settings. I see one setting to control the report timeout
Also, If I go into report server config I see another timeout value
So as an admin this is very confusing shouldn't all these settings be in 1 place .... also how do these settings play with one another ... do they override each other or what?MSDNStudent Knows not much!

Hello,
The RSReportServer.config file stores settings that are used by Report Manager, the Report Server Web service, and background processing. All Reporting Services applications run within a single process that reads configuration settings stored in the RSReportServer.config
file.
If we configure a Report Server run in SharePoint integrated mode, we can modify the default setting for the Report Server or a specify report.
For more information, please see:
RSReportServer Configuration File:

So which setting takes precedence?
In the sharepoint setting page I say timeout is 20
and in RSREportServer.config i say timeout is 100
which is the real timeout then?

Hello,
In the SharePoint site, we can set the report process timeout value. In the rsreportserver.config file, we can modify the "DatabaseQueryTimeout" value. They are different when we run a report. Here is an article about Setting Time-out Values for Report and
Shared Dataset Processing, please see:
