PDF report not refreshing
We have a report tha renders in PDF when called from an application. The users is prompted to save or open the report and they choose to open the report. When they do the Adobe PDF reader opens up and the report is displayed. An few minutes later after
the user has closed out the Adobe reader when they run the report again the same report opens back up. We know this because there is a datestamp displayed in the report.
We are running SSRS 2008 SP1. IE 8 is the browser.
I have found the PDF that is opened is cached in this folder on my pc. C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ATT6A074
I have noticed that if i open the app in another tab in IE, i will get a refreshed report and not the copy.
Does anyone know of a way to force SSRS to overwrite the cached PDF file or might there be a way to set up a shorter expiration time for the viewer or for IE so that it overwrites the cached report?
