PXE boot TS not started
Now I know why SMS/SCCM administrators drink so heavily :) Had PXE working yesterday for "Unknown Computers" collection and it was running a TS to install Vista... all well and good. I then attempted to add another TS to the "Unknown Computers" collection in hopes the user would be presented with an option to select "TS - Install Vista" or "TS - Install Windows 2008".. this failed.I have since pulled the last TS I created (install 2008) and have gone back to the setup I had working yesterday. Now that is failing during PXE startup.SMSPXE.LOG content is below and it seems to be recognizing the advertisement/etc.... but doesn't seem to be loading the WINPE environment?Any ideas? or elsewhere I need to look?Do the advertisements need to be "mandatory"?Is there some magic that needs to occur to have 2 (or more) TS assigned to a collection so the user can select which TS they want to invoke?THANKS<![LOG[MAC=FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF SMBIOS GUID=46746E94-D140-497A-8C46-5463A8F006FD > Device not found in the database.]LOG]!><time="13:04:03.588+240" Ok... Further Information. Was able to get the TS kicked off by changing the Schedule on the Advertisement and setting the "Mandatory Assignment" to ASAP and setting the priority to HIGH.Are these the settings that need to be set on any PXE advertisement? If I add another Advertised TS, do these schedule settings need to be set the same for all Advertised TS?THANKS

Ok... further information (and hopefully someone can clarify). If I have MULTIPLE Advertisements associatted with a a collection (let just say "Unknown Computers" for fun). These Advertisement should NOT BE MANDATORY.I hit F12 to kick off the PXE boot process and contact the server/etc. and begin TFTP download succesfully... I then receive another prompt something like (Press F12 for BETWORK SERVICE BOOT) and assuming I do this within 3 seconds I should be prompted with the list of Advertisements I have available?
IS THAT TRUE? (cause if it is I'll be out drinking like a true sms/sccm engineer tonight) :) :)

Ok..Confirmed that setting the multiple advertisments to NON MANDATORY and Hitting F12 when the prompt comes up for "Press F12 for NETWORK SERVICE BOOT" Windows PE loads and I'm presented with a list of the Advertisements for this collection..FINALLY...Questions:Is there a way to allow the F12 option to enter Network Service boot to be displayed for longer than 3 seconds?

Did you ever get a response to this question? We are experiencing the same thing.

i believe (but could be wrong) that it's hardcoded into the pxeboot.com file, why do you want to change it ?
