PXE booting with EAP
Hi All
I have been looking at various forums where it has been suggested that pxe booting is possible with EAP enabled on all network ports.
Can someone shed light on this. We have cisco routers and switches configured for port authentication. Every device is connected to a protected port. We have configured SCCM to pxe boot on a separate VLAN where EAP is not enabled. What is happening is that,
a client needs an IP address to connnect to boot off pxe. But they wont get the IP address unless they have been authenticated. How is this achieved. How does this work.

Hi
Thanks for the response but that is talking about WinPE. How do you get to WinPE without an IP address. WinPE can only boot when you have recieved an IP address which you cannot get becuase you have not been authenticated.
When I boot my PC, I nothing happens on the port that is locked untill Iam authenticated.Regards zizebra http://auction.joyoustimes.net
