Partitioning and grooming has not completed recently
Hi, Today I received a warning with the event: Partitioning and grooming has not completed recently. This are the details for the warning: The partitioning and grooming processes for the operational database (OperationsManager) on the server xxxxcomdb, 1433 have either not been run recently or have been failing. At the time this alert was raised, the partitioning and grooming process had not completed for 2 days. I was reading about this and this event shows when the database of SCOM is moved to another server, but this didn't happen on the weekend. So I want to know if there any other way that shows this warning and what is the correct solution for this? Many thanks. Regards,

Hi, Please check whether grooming is working or not with the following method: Alert Grooming - is it working or not? http://blogs.technet.com/b/jonathanalmquist/archive/2008/11/25/alert-grooming-is-it-working-or-not.aspx Meanwhile, please also check the Event Log of the RMS and database server. Next to Jonathans great post, you can also check out Kevins post on the subject: http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2008/02/13/grooming-process-in-the-operations-database.aspx . Take a look at the event log of the RMS (that is where the workflow runs) and on the database server you can check for event logs and job status in SQL.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My Blog about SCOM) - MVP 2012 and Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient
