Password reset - Computer startup
At windows logon, you can see the Password Reset window in the taskbar, it stays there for a while and then disapperes after contacting the FIM server. Everything in the Password reset deployment works as it should, i'm just wondering if any of you
have tried hiding the windows in the taskbar? Is it possible? Whan is going on in the window, why is it contacting the server?
Thanks :)/Frederik Leed

The FIM Password Reset Client checks to see if the user just logging on has registered for password reset.
You can control how often the FIM client checks by setting the CacheInterval property in the registry.

Okay, so i could just change how often the client connect to the server. No way i can hide this? My users are very much into start-up times and this does not help./Frederik Leed

By increasing the CacheInterval to several days you will speed up login time since the password reset client won't take the time to issue a query against the fim web service.David Lundell, Get your copy of FIM Best Practices Volume 1 http://blog.ilmbestpractices.com/2010/08/book-is-here-fim-best-practices-volume.html

Hi, again
This CacheInterval property, the documentation doesn't really say how to set the property... does 5 mean five days or 5 logons or 5 hours or?/Frederik Leed
