HI have just finished upgrading to R3, i installed the hotfix before the install and all the packages etc were created ok, i am still not getting the power management client showing in the console. any ideas ?

The Power Management information comes as part of the hardware inventory process. Check the sms_def.mof file and see if the power management classes are created. i am still not getting the power management client showing in the console. any ideas ? Are you talking about the client agent itself that can be found under Site settings -> client agent? Were you using a console that was upgraded to R3, too? Did you close and re-open it? Does that happen on the siteserver's console too?
