I want to print an invoice number as a barcode on an SSRS report. Is it possible to install some sort of barcode font and simply display the invoice number in that font? If not, is there a procedure out there that will generate the barcode? Or do I need a third-party tool?Jack W. Pullen

Hi It's really straightforward, you will need to get some barcode fonts there are hundreds to choose from to download, some are free others you will need to pay for. Code 39 is a good general purpose alpha numeric symbology, so choose a code 39 download. Then simply install the font as if it were an ordinary font and, after re-starting your application the barcode font will be available to use in your document, you may need to pay around with the height a bit, and it's not going to be wysiwyg, so a few test prints will be necessary.
