Problem with console
Hi: I have SM 2010 SP1 + CU3. Now, I have 6 from 11 users having the same problem, when the try to connect to Service Manager with the console. This is the error: These are the details: Fecha: 06/05/2013 11:47:37 a.m. Aplicacin: Consola de System Center Service Manager Versin de la aplicacin: 7.0.6555.128 Gravedad: Error Mensaje: No se pudo establecer la conexin con el servidor 'SM Server' Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.InvalidServiceTypeException: http://tempuri.org/IExtensionRegistrationService/GetExtensions en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.Internal.ServiceProxy.HandleFault(String methodName, Message message) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Configuration.ExtensionRegistrationServiceProxy.GetExtensions() en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Configuration.ExtensionRegistry.GetExtensions(Boolean forceRefresh) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Configuration.ExtensionRegistry.Initialize(IContainer container) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.EnterpriseManagementGroupInternal.Initialize(SdkDataLayerProxyCore sdkDataLayerProxy, EnterpriseManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.EnterpriseManagementGroupInternal.Create[T](SdkDataLayerProxyCore sdkDataLayerProxy, EnterpriseManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.Internal.SdkDataLayerProxyCore.ConstructEnterpriseManagementGroupInternal[T,P](EnterpriseManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings, ClientDataAccessCore clientCallback) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.Internal.SdkDataLayerProxyCore.RetrieveEnterpriseManagementGroupInternal[T,P](EnterpriseManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings, ClientDataAccessCore callbackDispatcherService) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.Internal.SdkDataLayerProxyCore.Connect[T,P](EnterpriseManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings, ClientDataAccessCore callbackDispatcherService) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManagementGroup.InternalInitialize(EnterpriseManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings, EnterpriseManagementGroupInternal internals) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManagementGroup..ctor(ServiceManagementConnectionSettings connectionSettings) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.SdkDataAccess.ManagementGroupSessionManager.Connect(String server) en Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.UI.Console.Credentials.ManagementGroupConnection.TryConnectToManagementGroupJob(Object sender, ConsoleJobEventArgs args) We thought that was a Framework error, so we reinstalled Framework 3.5 SP1 and installed Framework 4, but the problem still ocurres. Any suggestion or advice? Thanks in advance. Regards, Felipe Romn http://feliperoman.wordpress.com

It looks like the scsm server cant be connected. You can ping the scsm server from the client computers? Maybe a Firewall/port issue? Are all clients with the issue in the same subnet with the SCSM? Andreas Baumgarten | H&D International Group

Thanks for you reply Mr Andreas. Yes, we can ping, resolve names and access ports on SM servers. The 11 clients are in the same subnet, only 5 of them have problems. A user who can't work from his/her computer, can access SM from another computer with no problems. So, I think it's not an user problem. Any other idea?
