Problem with port in URL
Hi, I have 2 servers. For one of them port 80 is mapped from a router. On the second one there is SharePoint installed and application port is 80.I mapped port 80 of SharePoint server to port 6080 on the router . When I use that application with port 6080 in url, after logging port disappears. When I write port 6080 in url, everything is OK (page is displayed) until I click on a sharepoint list. Then port disappears again and after putting port nr in URL content of the list is displayed. How should I configure SharePoint to avid this situation? I've tried to change configuration of mapping alternate access but with no success (I set external access for [hostname] and mapped it to http://domain:6080).

With AAM, you should configure the port 80 url as Internal URL and the port 8080 url as public url. Please read http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/blogs/fromthefield/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?List=0ce77946%2D1e45%2D4b43%2D8c74%2D21963e64d4e1&ID=8 for how to configure AAM. The scenario in http://blogs.msdn.com/sharepoint/archive/2007/03/06/what-every-sharepoint-administrator-needs-to-know-about-alternate-access-mappings-part-1.aspx is for reverse proxy. It is similar for router port mapping.
