Hi, if BIDS is used to develop the project, you can go to the project properties and under deployment, you can set the property named TargetServerVersion to SQL Server 2008. Setting this property would ensure that when deploying, it would validated to check if your report is compatible with the version you are releasing to. On the other hand if you want to totally avoid adding features while desiging that are not supported by SSRS 2008, then it might help knowing the new features in SSRS 2008 R2 and rightly avoid add any of those. Details on new features of SSRS 2008 R2 can be found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms170438.aspx Please click "Mark as Answer" if this resolves your problem or "Vote as Helpful" if you find it helpful.
