Hello, I would like to know if it's possible to set RMS permissions on SharePoint folders. I know how to set RMS for files within folders in a document library, however, if there are 5 files in 1 folders and I would like all the folders to have restricted permissions with RMS - is it possible to set RMS on the folder instead of having to set the permissions on each file individually? Hi, After using AD RMS with sharepoint document library, when a document is uploaded to an Office SharePoint Server 2007 site, the server removes all protection until a download request is received by the Office SharePoint Server 2007 server. At this time, the Office SharePoint Server 2007 server applies the appropriate restrictions to the document before it is downloaded to the client computer. so you can only use RMS on documents not a folder.
