RSS Feed Refresh Issue
Hello,
We are running SharePoint with the Bug Database template; working extremely well.
Just enabled the RSS feed, and have subscribed to it using the feed client integrated into Lotus Notes 8.51.
The feed displays new defects when they are opened; however does not update the defects when they are updated in SharePoint.
At a bit of a loss; we are not too familiar with how RSS should work. Should it update? Did some research and came across some discussion about SharePoint caching updates; but could not find anything about how to turn this off?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Dan.

Almost all RSS feeds cache to improve performance.
I don't know of any way to change the caching of the out of the box RSS feeds, but you can create a Content Query Web Part to display the data and use the RSS feed from that web part. This article mentions the CQWP and caching:

A lot of the options discussed in the above links do not appear in the Site Administration section of our sites.
Perhaps our version of SP is older?
Investigating more and will update with what I find.
Thanks for replies!
