Remote Synchronisation Manager setup?
Does anyone know if it's possible to run the Synchronisation Manager application from a workstation, and have it access a remote FIM Sync server? We've got a few environments, and it'd be great if I could re-point a desktop version at various sync servers
to do investigations & diagnosis. I assume it's not possible, but I thought I'd ask :)

Not possible!
The Sync Service admin tool (Identity Manager) can only run on the Sync Service Machine. You can use Remote Desktop to connect to that machine though...

That is indeed not possible, but you can do alot through WMI (that allows remote connections) to configure or read information from the sync engine.Need realtime FIM synchronization? check out the new
http://www.traxionsolutions.com/imsequencer that supports FIM 2010 and Omada Identity Manager real time synchronization!
