Remove Personalize This Page Option
I want to give users the right to edit content in a CE webpart but not have the option to "Personalize This Page". So I guessing the way to do this is:
1. Set the user up as a designer.
2. Hide the "Personalize this Page" option in the dropdown.
I assuming Personalize this Page allows the user to personalize the page for their eyes only. So I want to remove that option.

I could be mistaken, but I believe you just want to revoke the "Personal Features" role in the Shared Service Provider -> Personalization Services Permissions.

That is only in SharePoint. I'm using WSS 3.0

Any leads on how to remove the "Personalize this Page" option in WSS 3.0? I'd like to do it in code with a feature at the web application level if possible.Dirk Watkins

Add a custom permission level for the site and disable the customization of those items:

Manage Personal Views - Create, change, and delete personal views of lists.
Update Personal Web Parts - Update Web Parts to display personalized information.
