Hello, I think you mixed up a little bit the version. SSRS 10.0 = SSRS 2008, for this you have to use BIDS 2008 / Report Builder 2.0! Report Builder 3.0 is for SSRS 2008R2, you can't connect to SSRS 2008. My confusion was not helped by being able to access the older version through the configuration manager of the newer version. Thanks for you helpful response.
