Report Manager URL for Named Instance
Hello, I have installed a named instance called Andreas-pc/Datamart. What is the URL for the report manager? The URL for the original instance is http://andreas-pc/reports and it works fine. I try http://andreas-pc/reports$datamart but i get HTTP 404 - File not found. I also try http://andreas-pc/reports_datamart but i get DNS Error - Server cannot be found. I have installed the 2012 edition and i am running ie9 on Win 7 Ultimate. In the SSRS configuration manager in the Report Manger URL tab it says: http://ANDREAS-PC:80/Reports_DATAMART and in the web service url tab it says: http://ANDREAS-PC:80/ReportServer_DATAMART. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Andreas

I also try http://andreas-pc/reports_datamart but i get DNS Error - Server cannot be found. Hello Andreas, This one is the right one; the instance name added with an underscore. You can also lookup the URL in Reporting Services Configuration Manager. Is the services running and have you setup & configurated SSRS finally?Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

Go throug all tabs in the configuration manager if see any hints / red marks. Try also the urk http://localhost/reports_datamart, may there is a problem with resolving your machine name.Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

Hello, I did the following: I opened IE as an administrator and i managed to connect. Then i went to the system properties and i added a new role (my account) as a system user and as administrator and i applied the changes. I went to the mome of report manager and i clicked folder properties. I added my account and i checked all the rights. Then i opened IE as a simple user (my account and not run as administrator) and i went to http://localhost/reports_datamart and the report manger showed up without any problems!. Thanks, Andreas
