Since it is downloading content (albeit very slowly) in between failed connections to the server, I would suspect intermittent, but frequent network issues. This is likely the result of the BITS throttling in place - 20 KBPS is really slow. Is the client across a highly saturated, slow WAN link? BH

Hi Bruce, thank you for your response We have close to 500 computers that are affected by this issue. these computers are spread across a wide geographical area. While I know that some of these computers are in locations with saturated links, there are some sites with decent links that are having this issue. The issue is there are no whole sites having these issue - there are some computers that get the client however some others dont get this and even the sites that have saturated links during the day are having the same issue after office hours when the links are virtually free I have attempted to use the BITS admin tool on some of the affected computers but when I run the tool it says no pending or open BITS jobs on these computers I have also used the TCP view on the some of the clients as well as the central site primary server to see if a TCP connection is made and it is made However nothing happens even after the connection is made

Do you happen to have multiple management points?

We have one MP and 6 proxy management points (I have installed the MP role on all the 6 secondary servers)

When the computers get migrated to our new domain they should get SCCM through client push from the SCCM server but this is not happening on 700 + computers out of the 5000 + computers that have been migrated. I have just checked the CCM folder on a couple of client machines and the Logs folder is not there!! It looks like the SMS client was uninstalled and the SCCM client has started installing but it does not complete. The issue is there are no whole sites having these issue - there are some computers that get the client however some others dont get this and even the sites that have saturated links during the day are having the same issue after office hours when the links are virtually free I have attempted to use the BITS admin tool on some of the affected computers but when I run the tool it says no pending or open BITS jobs on these computers I have also used the TCP view on the some of the clients as well as the central site primary server to see if a TCP connection is made and it is made However nothing happens even after the connection is made

Do you happen to have multiple management points?

We have one MP and 6 proxy management points (I have installed the MP role on all the 6 secondary servers)
