SCCM 2007 R3 requires KB977384
I downloaded R3 and tried to install and I get an error message right at the beginning stating it requires KB977384.
I have SCCM 2007 installed with SP2 and R2. I have seen references to this same KB in relation to the Beta release and mention of the KB hotfix in the installation media but I'm not seeing it in the Final Release code I downloaded from the EA download center.
Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks, that did the trick.

So I tried installing the extracted msi package and it says I need to run it with elevated priviledges. I tried right-click shift, to runas but had the same result. I had to actually disable UAC and restart the server to do the install.
I ran into the same issue on my client machine when I updated the console. Just a heads up unless there is some other trick to install without disabling UAC that I'm not aware of.
