SCCM 2007 Secondary site status in pending mode
HelloI have Deisntall secondary site, waited for 2 days to ensure there is no trace of old site. Then I installed secondary site but the status of this site is pending for almost 24 hrs. I have highlighted errors in both ConfigMgrsetup.log & Bootstrap.log file.ConFigMgrSetup.Log has following error,<01-28-2010 12:06:44> Setup has not detected an existing installation of a primary site server, secondary site server, site system, or Configuration Manager console on this computer.<01-28-2010 12:06:44> Checking download options...<01-28-2010 12:06:44> Use ones on the site - secondary site push.<01-28-2010 12:06:44> Setup path is C:\roa1f9og.TMP\SMSSETUP\bin\i386\setup.exe.<01-28-2010 12:06:44> Cannot find C:\roa1f9og.TMP\SMSSETUP\redist. HI,Did you also push out the secondary site package? If not then the media needs to be on the secondary site server. Delete the site from the console and start over again. In the hman.log file you can verify that a package is being created, in the sender.log file you ccan verify that the package files are being copied to the secondary site server.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

I'm too lazy too read the entire log but normally when I push out a secondary and it stays in pending it's because I forgot to add an address or I forgot the add the secondary site to my AD group of servers or I forgot to add that group to local groups on the secondary site.John Marcum | http://www.TrueSec.com/en/Training.htm | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum
