Is SP2 the latest one? I saw R2 - R3 etc...Do I need R3 before SP2?Do I need R3 after SP2?(** what is the build number of R3)Thanks,Dom

Hi,SP2 is the latest Service Pack. R2 and R3 are feature add-ons. R2 is released, R3 is in developing and no build number is available yet. R3 is not a requirement not for before SP2 or after. I am installing from scratch and am trying to figure out what is the latest released version with the latest "R add ons". My download web site shows exactly the follwoingSystem Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 R2System Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 R2 with SQLSystem Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 with SP2System Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 Service Pack 2System Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 w/SP1System Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 w/SP1 with SQLSystem Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 Service Pack 1I am thinking that if I want the latest (SP2 with R2) I would load "System Center Configuration Manager Server 2007 with SP2" but then howwould I get R2 on??Thanks,Jim

Just toss it on later.R2 is simply a collection of additional things for your Server and/or Console installations. It's completely optional, although what's in R2 is so cool most people don't consider it optional. Regardless, just install R2 on top of SP2, anytime.Standardize. Simplify. Automate.
