SCCM Client Agent Restart / Reminders
Hello! I've got a question around the client agent restart pop-up reminders. I understand that when you configure the client agent to notify the user of a mandatory installation, the reminders apply when approaching the deadline. However, once the installtion has completed and a restart is required those reminder settings wont apply to a restart. For example, within our environment we give the users an 8 hour window to restart before the forced restart, therfore the user recieves the inital 8 hour pop up and a further final pop up at 5 mins. However, after the first 2 hours, in our environment, the user is presented with a reminder. So my question is, where is this 2 hour reminder configured??? Is it part of the OS or a standard/hidden config within the client?

Thanks, but i'm not sure you understand my question... Do reminders work for a forced restart? I understand that they don't.

Has this question something to do with OSD (operating system deployment), because you posted it to the OSD subforum. Some things work a little bit different depending on the context (OSD or software distribution in the full OS). Please clarify.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

Ah, thanks for pointing that out! No this is entirely related to Software Updates.
