1) Clients will always try to locate content on a DP witin their own IPsubnet, read more here 2) Use protected distribution points 3) Distribute the packages to the dp's I advice you to check these technet articles on distribution points - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680853.aspx This one will answer Q2 and Q3 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb892788.aspx This one will answer Q2 and Q3 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb932150.aspx This one will answer Q1 Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hello - If bandwidth is your main concern (very very slow connectivity) then don't put distribution points rather I would suggest you to install secondary sites so that you can control the bandwidth during office hours? Other wise use some of the third party tools like 1E SMS Nomad to reduce the bandwidth usage. To answer your questions 1. Use protected DP. 2. Hi Anoop. I installed SCCM Client from my main SCCM server. I've created site boundaries for each locations as well. Normally in My head Office I'm distributing lot of Software Updates & Software Packages as well. But I want to Deploy those to Branch Offices with Distribution Points. Can I Sync Distribution Point with SCCM Main Server located at Head Office. Regards, COMDINI

Yes, just distribute the packages to the DPs in the branch offices. Have you already deployed a DP, BDP or secondary site to those locations? Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

ConfigMgr is a very complex product and I suggest that you start reading a book or the online docs before implementing it in a production environment: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb693570.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb932184.aspx There are a lot of factors involved ... WAN bandwidth, number of clients, ConfigMgr features you want to use, etc Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
