SCCM and SCUP
I have installed SCUP on my SCCM server. I am trying to import the Adobe Flash Catalog so I can send Adobe Flash updates to all client machines. In the Settings I have added the Adobe cab file and set the path, publisher, etc. The data source in the Settings is set to <sql server>\<database>. Adobe Systems is a trusted publisher. I keep getting a message when I am trying to important the catalog (Action, Import Updates) which states: "Error 1: The 'Update Type' attribute is not declared." I have not seen where I can set the Update Type attribute. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you configured the SCUP to enable Publishing? (found on the server properties).Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products

Yes. I'm wondering if perhaps it is configured incorrectly. I have it set to "Enable publishing to an update server". I left it set to the default, which is to 'Connect to a local update server'. However, the SCCM database actually is on a separate server which hosts several SQL databases. When I test the connection on the local update server, I get a message "the test connection succeeded." Should I be pointed to the SQL server which hosts the SCCM database or the local server which hosts SCCM and SCUP?

I have mine installed on the same box as WSUS. Have you tried to import one of the other catalogs from HP or Dell? This will tell us if the problem is related to the Adobe catalog or to SCUP.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products

Seems to be a problem with Adobe, I just tried to import all of Adobe's catalogs and had the same problem. No issues with Dell's or HPCo-Author of Mastering System Center Configuration Manager 2007
