SCCM not deploying clients on remote site
HiI am trying to deploy the SCCM client to our remote site. It has worked up until now.I have set up client push but the machines are not installing the client. The client service account is a member of local admins and by definaition domain admins also. I get the following in ccm.log: ---> Attempting to connect to administrative share '\\XXX0002655.XXX.co.uk\admin$' using account 'XXX\SCCM_Service' SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER 04/02/2010 11:31:15 3200 (0x0C80) ---> Attempting to connect to administrative share '\\XXX0002655.XXX.co.uk\admin$' using machine account. SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER 04/02/2010 11:31:16 3200 (0x0C80)I can connect to the admin$ share from the server.Do you think it has anything to do with having to rebuild the server (same name and ip details) after a failed SP2 upgrade?

I can connect to the admin$ share from the server. Have you used the account "XXX\SCCM_Service" for connecting to the client?

Can RDP into the client as SCCM_Service but I cannot authenticate against admin$ even thoguh the SCCM_Service account is a local admin on that machine? (Via its membership in the domain administrators group? :S

unlocked the SCCM_Service account (I did check this before and it wasnt locked out....hmmm) but it is still giving access denied to the machine account:---> Failed to connect to \\XXX0002655\admin$ using machine account (5) SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER 04/02/2010 13:11:13 2236 (0x08BC)How can I resolve this?

That's definitely not a problem of ConfigMgr. You have to make sure that you can connect to admin$ on the remote machines (using the client push installation account). Double-check the permissions, group memberships, policies, firewall settings etc.

---> Started service "ccmsetup" on machine "SCCM08022010". So there must be a ccmsetup.log. Anything useful in there?
