Hi, Here are my opinions: 1. This depends on the software package. Here is an example: How to Deploy Microsoft Office 2010 by Using System Center Essentials 2010 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff622331.aspx 2. As far as I know, the software/update can be installed when the user logs on the computer has not administrator unless you choose the option “Publish update(s) to 'Add/Remove Programs'” when approving the package. For more information, please refer to: Deployment of optional software requires administrator rights http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenterdevelopment/thread/f2ff976b-35b7-4232-8d9f-4b24a87df47e/ 3. Yes. 4. Yes. System Center Essentials 2010 can manage the computers in a trusted domain. For more information about software deployment and update management in System Center Essentials 2010, please refer to: Software Deployment in Essentials http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb422945.aspx Update Management in Essentials http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb437260.aspx Regarding question 3 and 4, please also refer to: Supported Topologies and Performance Guidance for System Center Essentials 2010 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb422797.aspx Hope this helps.
