SCE client and server not communicating
Hello,We migrated SCE last week to new hardware, we had a few problems with the clients getting updates but after an IIS permission change we got that worked out. Our client computers are no longer communicating the with SCE and we got the opsmgr connector errors 20000 on the server and 20070 on the client machines. I'm a bit unclear on the next steps to make them talk again, i ran a repair on the agents and that didn't resolve the problem. How does one go about making the clients report back to the mother ship again?thanks,

Hello Andy,Could you please explain what exactly you did to migrate the server? Is the SCE Server's FQDN changed?Radhey Shah [MSFT]

Hi,Have you backed up serurity key using SecureStorageBackup.exe before migration?
. It is not possible to restore a SCE environment without them. In the next release we've added the backup wizard to the end of setup to try to avoid this confusion.
The usage is as follows:
Launch a command prompt
Copy the CD\supporttools\securestoragebackup.exe locally to the install directory for SCE
Navigate the command prompt to the location of the local copy
Run 'securestoragebackup.exe Backup \\preferrably-non-local-path\scesecurestoragefilename.bin'
Type ina password when prompted.
If restoring a SCE environment, run this command after restoring the databases:
securestoragebackup.exe Restore \\preferrably-non-local-path\scesecurestoragefilename.bin
Type in the password used at backup time when prompted.HTH.

Hello,I backed up the key prior to bringing down the old server. I imported it into the new server before i reattached the databases. Through the admin page on the SCE console i have uninstalled agents and then reinstalled them hoping it would work itself out. They now load into the computer groups and i can ping them through the console but if i do a collect inventory i get The certificate for the Health Service of the location monitoring object can not be found. Thanks,Andy

Hi,Does the health service run under local system? Restart health service to see if it works. If not, look into eventlog to check the error prompts.Jie-Feng Ren - MSFT
