SCOM 2007 R2 - Administration - Management Servers
Hello,I am writing to try and figure out where to start trouble shooting with a problem i've been having for quite a while now. I started having this problem after another SCOM administrator created a new run as account but i am not sure it is causing the problem.Anyway problem being.... Under Administration - Management servers the one management server we have becomes grayed out after a day or two of working completely fine. To fix it i've been stoping the following three services.- System Center Management- System Center Management Configuration- System Center Data AccessThen i've renamed the following three folders to have _old at the end- D:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Config Services State- D:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health Service State- D:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\SDK Service StateThen i start the services in the reverse order. This makes the grayed out management server able to receive send queues from the agent managed servers. The problem occurs again after two more days. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and i am wondering where to start trouble shooting this, i've looked all over on google and cant find anything to help, i really dont want to rebuild the environment.

The default action account is running as local system, and is applied certain servers in the management group. The second action acconut was created for the DFS-R servers so that we could get replication statistics back from the DFSR management pack. The reason we had to do this is because local system did not have the right permissions to do this. The second action account is set to work on all servers. So the second question is would the second account override the default action account even though it was set on specific machines? and would that cause the RMS to gray out like it is?

Hey Kobi,
Sorry i didnt get back to you sooner... I am working with microsoft support right now on figuring out what is happening. To answer your question though, i had to increase the size of the event log so that i could see alerts from a few days ago, so as of right
now i cannot see the errors if they show up because by the time i get to look at them the event log has already been overwritten with new data. We do not have any management servers only one RMS. Once i find out what the answer is for my company i
will post it here. I will definately be checking to see if what Nicholas has posted.
Thank you.
