I have two questions about monitoring FIM with SCOM: I have downloaded the beta FIM Management Pack for FIM 2010. Is there an official date for release yet? I saw in a previous post it was coming soon (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/20ceea9d-758b-478e-965b-1629dfb1dcd5). I also have a requirement to monitor the PCNS service. I see that there is an MP (PCNS for MIIS for Windows 2008 DCs). Is there an official date for a version of this management pack for FIM 2010? Can this older MP be used against the PCNS service that comes with FIM 2010? Thanks, DaveDave

Hi Dave, I haven't used the SCOM pack, but presumambly you can monitor the event log? An option is simply to increase the password sync logging level (same reg change for MIIS works for FIM http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/identitylifecyclemanager/thread/4686507a-2acc-4a4d-9e64-4f6f15d5e165/) and then monitor the event log.http://www.wapshere.com/missmiis

Carol, Thanks for the response. I have created custom monitors already for some of the things that I would like to monitor that are not part of the pack, but I would like to use the official MP since they have all of the monitoring scenarios already defined and configured. Dave Dave
