SCOM Reporting Server and SQL Server
Hi please can someone clarify some information for me as I'm abit confused. First of all does the SCOM Reporting Server have to be installed on the same server as SQL Server reporting services? So It would have to be installed on the SQL server itself? Secondly I understand that SQL Server standard can be used with System Center without purchasing a licence, providing that it is only used for System Center? So what licence would I use when installing SQL Server?

Hi. 1. Yes, Reporting Server have to be installed on the same server as SQL Server reporting services 2. So It would have to be installed on the SQL server itself? - No, you can instal a SSRS on a dedicated server. http://OpsMgr.ru/

Hi, In addition, regarding the requirements about SQL Server, please also refer to the following document: Supported Configurations for System Center 2012 - Operations Manager http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh205990.aspx Regarding the query about licensing, you can call 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (PST) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. You can also visit Microsoft Volume Licensing Site http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/ to find the contact information. For SQL related licensing, please see the following page: SQL Server Licensing http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/en/us/get-sql-server/licensing.aspx Hope this helps. Thanks.
