Is there an application that can do the same thing like SMS Installer? I'm not looking for a repackaging program where it takes a snapshot of the install. I'm more interested in the list of commands that SMS Installer offered for example the command to execute a program, copy files, ability to use IF then statements, etc. then be able to save the package in an MSI format?

I've heard of WiseScript are there others?

There are a lot of other tools out there.  Advanced Installer Enterprise and Flexera AdminStudio Standard are the two ones I run into most often.

As a best practice, I highly recommend to customers to repackage vendor provided installers as a very very very last resort.  I would be sure to contact the vendor and ask them to fix any issues with their installer attempting to repackage, simply because you have no idea what you are stripping out of their setup program in the process (and whether or not the vendor will the support the resulting app that you deploy).

If you are trying to make a simple Copy Files/Registry Keys/Shortcuts installer with an MSI, the freeware version of Advanced Installer does that well.
