Hi Zahid, To better solve the issue, could you please collect the following information? 1. The SQL Server installation logs and the System error logs. The SQL Server installation logs is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Summary.txt 2. Which account do you use to install the SQL Server Service Pack 3? SQL Server Account or Windows Account? 3. Does the Reporting Service exist? If so, does the Reporting Service work fine? If there is an instance such asthe Reporting Servicebefore, and the instance doesnt exist anymore now, when installing SQL Server Service Pack 3, installation wizard cant pass the login check. Thanks, Jin Jin Chen - MSFT
