SQL 2005 Reporting Service
When opening the report manager, we get this error message:
"The version of the report server database is either in a format that is not valid, or it cannot be read. The found version is '147'. The expected version is 'C.0.8.54'. To continue, update the version of the report server database
and verify access rights. (rsInvalidReportServerDatabase) (rsRPCError)

Searching the KB has resulted in only a topic about upgrading from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008. The procedures outlined in this topic did not help the situation.
We have recovered the database from a backup. This did not help.
This problem began when my report administrator loaded SQL 2008R2 on her desktop.
Clicking on "Get Online Help" does not provided any information.

This is an issue to do with upgrading - somehow the reportserver database thinks it should be 2008R2 rather than 2005...

That much I had figured out. But the real problem is that the organization does not want to take this server to SQL 2008R2 at this time. So, how do "un-do" this so the reports can be opened in SQL2005?Patrick Brown

Maybe try Add/Remove programs or uninstall from install disc...Rgds Geoff
