SQL Server Skills survey
Hello! Microsoft Learning is asking technical experts, to help us identify the key skills that competent SQL Server database administrators,
database developers, and BI developers must have to be successful in these roles. These skills will form the basis of the training and certification content that we develop for each of these roles, and we can’t do this without you! This is
your opportunity to have a voice in what should be included in the training and exams that will be developed for SQL Server “Denali.”
We have created a survey to capture your input. The survey will likely take about 30 minutes to complete and contains the following four
sections:
1) We ask about your experience with SQL Server.
2) We ask you to brainstorm and list 10 tasks that you believe should be measured on the certification exam(s). Don’t panic!
The survey gets easier after the brainstorming section!
3) We ask you to evaluate the importance of continuing to assess candidates on the skills that we currently measure on our exams.
4) We ask you to rate the importance of assessing skills related to new features and functionality in “Denali.”
You can take the survey by clicking

You will have the opportunity to provide input for multiple roles (i.e. DBA, DBD, or BI) if you’d like as you complete the survey. Please complete and submit your responses by
May 16, 2011.
Please do not hesitate to
contact us with
any questions or concerns.
Thank you for participating in the Skills Analysis process for Microsoft SQL Server “Denali”! We’re committed to
certifying the real world skills professionals need and cannot do it without your input.
